Using VeraLocker on Desktop

Connect your phone to the desktop browser client, organize your vault on a bigger screen, and end the session when you're done.

What you need

Desktop sessions are included with VeraLocker Pro. Have your phone with VeraLocker installed and your vault unlocked, plus a desktop browser. Both devices need internet access; they can use different networks. You don't need to install anything on your computer or create a separate account.

Connect your desktop

Start on your computer, then approve access on your phone.

  1. 1 Open https://web.veralocker.com in your desktop browser and choose Connect to my phone. A QR code appears.
  2. 2 On your phone, unlock VeraLocker and open Settings → Desktop session.
  3. 3 Tap Scan desktop QR and scan the code displayed on your computer.
  4. 4 Check the desktop name in the approval prompt and tap Allow to start the session.
  5. 5 Keep VeraLocker open in the foreground and your phone unlocked while you work.

Work with your records and binders

Search your vault, add or edit IDs, assets, maintenance tasks, and credentials, attach files from your computer, and create or edit binders. Changes are written to the vault on your phone. Connected sharing, contacts, invitations, your inbox, notification settings, AI features, and camera scanning remain in the phone app.

Import credentials from a CSV

The desktop credential collection includes an Upload CSV option. Start with its downloadable template so the column names match what VeraLocker expects.

  1. 1 Open Credentials on the desktop and choose Upload CSV.
  2. 2 Download the template, replace the example rows with your credentials, and keep the header row.
  3. 3 Choose your CSV file and review the preview before confirming the import. Your phone processes the file and saves the records.
  4. 4 Check the import result for any rows that need attention.

How the session protects your vault

The phone and desktop exchange end-to-end encrypted messages. The relay cannot read the contents, and your vault key never leaves the phone. An approved desktop can read and edit the paired vault during the session, so use a computer you trust. Your phone continues to host the vault; keep making encrypted backups and copy them somewhere other than the phone.

End a session

Choose End session on your phone or desktop when you finish. Locking your phone also ends the session automatically. Reconnect by starting a new session and scanning its QR code.

If you can't connect

Check that Pro is active, both devices have internet access, and VeraLocker is unlocked and in the foreground on your phone. If the browser says its code has expired, generate a new one and scan it again. Approve the desktop on your phone when prompted. If a session ends after the phone locks or the connection is lost, start a new session.
