Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of VeraLocker, including the VeraLocker mobile app, website, support resources, AI features, secure sharing, notifications, and related services.
Acceptance
By downloading, accessing, or using VeraLocker, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and the VeraLocker Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use VeraLocker.
About VeraLocker
VeraLocker is a local-first digital locker for organizing records such as IDs, assets, credentials, maintenance tasks, reminders, documents, notes, attachments, and binders.
VeraLocker is not a bank, insurer, legal advisor, tax advisor, medical provider, emergency service, identity verification service, password manager certification service, or records custodian. VeraLocker helps you organize information, but you remain responsible for the accuracy, legality, security, retention, backup, and use of your records.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use VeraLocker. If you use VeraLocker on behalf of another person, household, company, trust, estate, or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.
Your Vault, Passphrase, And Device
VeraLocker is designed so your vault content is stored and encrypted on your device by default. VeraLocker does not know your vault passphrase and may not be able to recover your vault if you lose access.
You are responsible for:
- Choosing and protecting a strong passphrase.
- Protecting your device, operating system account, biometric unlock, backups, exported files, and shared packages.
- Keeping your own backup strategy.
- Reviewing exported or shared data before sending it to anyone.
- Complying with laws that apply to the records you store or share.
Sensitive Records
You may choose to store sensitive information in VeraLocker, including identification details, credentials, photos, documents, assets, maintenance records, and personal notes. You are responsible for deciding what to store, whether you have permission to store it, and whether additional safeguards are required.
Do not use VeraLocker to store or share information that you are not legally allowed to possess, process, export, or disclose.
AI Features
VeraLocker may offer AI features that draft maintenance tasks, playbooks, binder analysis, product details, and related content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation.
You are responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on it or saving it. AI output is not professional advice and should not be treated as legal, medical, financial, tax, insurance, security, safety, engineering, or emergency advice.
Do not send information to AI features unless you have the right to do so and are comfortable with that information being processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
Sharing
VeraLocker may let you share items, binders, contact keys, QR codes, files, or encrypted cloud share packages with people you choose.
You are responsible for:
- Confirming the recipient and sharing method.
- Confirming that the recipient is authorized to receive the information.
- Understanding that a recipient may copy, save, edit, re-share, or fail to protect information after receiving it.
- Removing or redacting sensitive values before sharing when appropriate.
VeraLocker cannot control third-party channels, recipient devices, or recipient behavior.
Backups, Exports, And Imports
VeraLocker may let you export, import, or back up vault data. Exported files and backups may contain sensitive information, even when encrypted. You are responsible for protecting backup passphrases, exported files, imported files, cloud drives, removable media, and device backups.
Notifications And Reminders
VeraLocker may provide local reminders and optional push notifications. Notifications may be delayed, blocked, inaccurate, or unavailable because of device settings, operating system behavior, network issues, or service outages. You should not rely on VeraLocker as the only source for critical deadlines, medication schedules, safety tasks, legal deadlines, renewal deadlines, emergency actions, or other time-sensitive obligations.
Purchases And Subscriptions
Paid features, trials, subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and family sharing may be handled by Apple, Google, or another app-store provider. App-store terms and policies apply to those purchases. You are responsible for managing subscriptions through the app store account used for purchase.
Unless otherwise required by law or app-store policy, fees are non-refundable after purchase.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use VeraLocker in violation of law or third-party rights.
- Do not upload, share, or process unlawful, harmful, abusive, exploitative, or infringing content.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, rate limits, payment checks, app-store controls, device attestation, or access controls.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, attack, or interfere with VeraLocker systems.
- Do not use VeraLocker to stalk, harass, impersonate, defraud, or harm another person.
- Do not misrepresent VeraLocker output as verified professional advice.
Third-Party Services
VeraLocker may depend on third-party services, platforms, SDKs, app stores, cloud providers, analytics providers, AI providers, push notification providers, operating system APIs, and device manufacturers. Their terms and privacy practices may also apply. VeraLocker is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.
Intellectual Property
VeraLocker, including the app, website, design, software, documentation, trademarks, and related materials, is owned by VeraLocker or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of VeraLocker intellectual property to you.
You retain ownership of information you store in your vault. You grant VeraLocker the limited rights needed to operate features you choose, such as processing AI requests, sending encrypted share packages, registering push tokens, handling support requests, or processing purchases.
Feedback
If you send ideas, feedback, suggestions, or feature requests, you allow VeraLocker to use them without restriction or compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Updates And Availability
VeraLocker may change, suspend, discontinue, or limit features at any time. We may release updates that add, remove, or modify functionality. Some features may require a compatible device, operating system, network connection, app-store account, paid entitlement, or third-party service.
Termination
You may stop using VeraLocker at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to server-backed features if you violate these terms, create risk, misuse the service, or if continued service is no longer commercially or technically practical.
Termination does not automatically delete local vault data from your device. You are responsible for deleting local app data, backups, exports, and shared files if you no longer want them.
Disclaimers
VeraLocker is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, VeraLocker disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, error-free operation, and uninterrupted service.
VeraLocker does not guarantee that data will never be lost, corrupted, accessed, delayed, misdelivered, or unavailable. You are responsible for independent backups and for verifying important information.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VeraLocker and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, service providers, and licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, loss of goodwill, service interruption, device failure, security incident, or third-party conduct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VeraLocker’s total liability for any claim relating to the app or services will not exceed the amount you paid for VeraLocker in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 100 USD if you paid nothing.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify VeraLocker from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of VeraLocker, violation of these terms, violation of law, violation of third-party rights, or content you store, export, import, or share.
Changes To These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The updated terms will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of VeraLocker after an update means the updated terms apply, to the extent permitted by law.
